Description

Betches Media is looking for a Senior Director, Data Strategy and Solutions to be the go-to expert for leveraging data across the entire client life cycle, from initial pitch through campaign delivery and post campaign reporting.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with our sales, marketing and content teams to turn raw data into actionable insights. You’ll be at the forefront of commercial data strategy, ensuring that we deliver the right stories to our partners and consistently improve how we use data to shape our media solutions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, strategic, curious individual who can think outside the box and has experience or an understanding about media channels and the role they play in a wider ecosystem.

This individual should be interested in learning new methodologies especially in the behavioral and 1st party data space.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with marketing, content and sales teams to ensure that data is accurately reported on how channels and content are performing, delivering clear insights on audience engagement across our portfolio.
  • Serve as the senior lead on commercial brief responses, ensuring data-driven insights are integrated into campaign strategies and creative solutions.
  • Oversee larger research projects and initiatives, driving key categories and delivering strategic insights for clients and internal teams.
  • Lead the development of ad hoc research, tailored to specific needs of internal teams and external clients, based on the scope of each brief.
  • Identify and implement new methodologies and innovative ways to use data to support broader business objectives, enhancing the capabilities of your team.
  • Build, lead, and develop the team from the ground up, shaping the vision and capabilities of the team to meet the company’s business and client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and key stakeholders to refine and elevate the way data and insights are used to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in data strategy, research, or analytics, with a strong focus on the media industry.
  • Proven ability to transform raw data and complex information into strategic recommendations and then communicate those insights to high-level stakeholders and clients.
  • Background working with agencies or brands on executing media campaigns. Strong familiarity with the media planning process.
  • Possess the ability to synthesize several forms of data into succinct stories that inform our clients, and help drive our business forward.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills. Analyze branded content and client campaigns in order to develop post campaign reporting for client check ins, wrap decks, and new pitches.
  • Relevant leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with research, brand lift studies, and audience surveying.
  • Expertise in media channels, audience engagement, social media and the broader media ecosystem, with a passion for exploring new data methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with different data platforms and analytics tools specific to the media and research world (Looker Studio, GWI, SimilarWeb, Quantcast, TGI, YouGov, Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Crowdtangle).
  • Experience with social listening platforms or techniques such as ListenFirst and Brandwatch and 1st party behavioral data is a bonus.
  • Bonus : Experience with DMP, CDP, CRM or other first party data oriented platforms.

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this role is $130,000 - $140,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided.
