We are seeking a skilledBusiness Analyst to join our engineering firm. In this role youwill be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs andtechnical solutions.
You will analyze processes gather requirementsand collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive improvementsthat enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
KeyResponsibilities :
- RequirementsGathering :
- Collaborate withstakeholders including project managers engineers and clients toidentify and document business needs andrequirements.
- Facilitate workshops interviewsand surveys to gather comprehensiveinformation.
- ProcessAnalysis :
- Analyze current businessprocesses and workflows to identify areas for improvement andefficiency gains.
- Develop process maps anddocumentation to visualize current state and propose future statesolutions.
- SolutionDesign :
- Workwith technical teams to design solutions that meet businessrequirements ensuring alignment with companygoals.
- Evaluate and recommend software toolstechnologies and systems to support projectobjectives.
- ProjectManagement Support :
- Assist project managers indefining project scope objectives anddeliverables.
- Monitor project progress identifyrisks and recommend mitigationstrategies.
- DataAnalysis :
- Analyze data trendsperformance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to informdecisionmaking.
- Develop reports and dashboardsto communicate insights tostakeholders.
- StakeholderCommunication :
- Serve as the primary pointof contact between business units and technical teams ensuringclear communication and understanding ofrequirements.
- Prepare and present findingsrecommendations and project updates to stakeholders andmanagement.
- UserAcceptance Testing (UAT) :
- Develop test cases andassist in conducting UAT to validate that solutions meet businessneeds before implementation.
- Gather feedbackfrom users and make recommendations forenhancements.
- Trainingand Support :
- Assist in developingtraining materials and conduct training sessions for endusers onnew systems and processes.
- Provide ongoingsupport to users after implementation to address questions andresolveissues.
- ContinuousImprovement :
- Stay current on industrytrends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovationand improvement within theorganization.
- Advocate for a culture ofcontinuous improvement and facilitate initiatives that driveoperational excellence.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business AdministrationEngineering Information Technology or a related field; a mastersdegree is a plus.
- Proven experience as aBusiness Analyst preferably in an engineering or technicalenvironment.
- Strong analytical skills with theability to interpret data and make datadrivendecisions.
- Proficiency in business analysistools and methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall SixSigma).
- Excellent communication skills bothwritten and verbal with the ability to present complex informationclearly.
- Strong problemsolving skills andattention to detail.
PreferredQualifications :
- Experience with project management software(e.g. JIRA Asana) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau PowerBI).
- Familiarity with engineering processesproject life cycles and technicalterminology.
- Certification in business analysis(e.g. CBAP PMIPBA) or related fields is aplus.
