- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting is preferred.

In this role you'll be working 'behind the scenes' in our corporate offices supporting our resorts by maintaining financial records, preparing financial documents and reports and ensuring that records remain accurate.

POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant supports the Controller in carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities of the Accounting Department under the direction of the Controller.
This position relieves the Controller of certain responsibilities that will allow the Controller to spend a greater portion of their time on financial statement preparation, analysis, budgets, forecasting, and various other issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains fixed assets system.
- Maintain general ledgers.
- Prepares month end closings and reconciliations.
- Prepares and files monthly / quarterly sales tax returns.
- Prepares and posts monthly recurring entries.
- Works with other staff members to ensure accuracy of posted transactions through AP, AR, and Fixed Assets.
- Prepares monthly financial statements and all related reports including, but not limited to, comparative income statement, cash projection statement and special assessment analysis.
- Works with resort personnel on annual budget preparation.
- Assist with the annual audit including preparation of statements & reconciliations as well as any requests.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Enter payable invoices for managed companies.
- Maintain and post payables for managed companies.
- Perform other accounting and financial tasks as may be required from time to time by the Controller or Chief Accounting Officer.
