Management opportunity in the Enjoy A M Restaurant Group.
The Assistant General Manager seeks to foster a welcoming, guest centered experience for guests of our restaurants through strong service training, holding to the standards of the EnjoyAM Restaurant Group, and managing the systems of the FOH team, with a special focus on the servers during any particular shift.
The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for restaurant set up and break down as well as MOD shifts to cover the general manager during absence.
The assistant general manager assists the general manager with operations when necessary to further their professional skill set and ready them for restaurant management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor supplies and inventory to make sure they’re used properly and efficiently and that we adhere to the store budget.
- Assign duties to crew members and create work schedules.
- Recruit and train team members to excel in their position and mentor team members to grow their professional skillset for promotion
- Assist with administrative activities.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through interaction with guests and support of team members service execution
- Engage in educational opportunities in order to remain up-to-date on the latest industry techniques, tools and trends.
- Engage in opportunities that can add to overall workplace accomplishments.
Assistant General Managers work nights, weekends, and some holidays and typically work a five day work week. General Managers receive paid time off and assistance with health, dental, and vision insurance as well as access to group life and accident insurance.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three years of experience with a full service dining establishment
- Leadership and time-management skills
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and procedures
- Demonstrated customer and personal service skill
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on guest centered service
- Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people, such as waitstaff, dishwashers, management and sometimes customers
- Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
