This position offers a lucrative quarterly incentive plan with the ability to earn up to 100% of base salary.
The Impact You Will Make
The Assistant Sales Manager at Everstory is a sales professional who leads by example and demonstrating the highest level of customer care for our customers.
This role will identify and share best practices among their team while fostering team achievement and individual success for their Sales Counselors.
Through respect and caring, you will model and coach on sales principles that offer our families the best options for their loved ones in their time of need.
You will also be responsible for :
- Ensuring the attainment of assigned sales quotas by overseeing sales and service at a specific location to maximize sales.
- Coaching and counseling all assigned Sales Staff to ensure the highest quality servicing of existing customers.
- Training all assigned sales staff to ensure the best possible results from presentations to current and potential customers.
- Reviewing prior days results and appointments to provide recommendations on issues that may have surfaced.
- Meeting with clients both on and off site to develop Family History Folder, including listing of Association and Clubs deceased was a member of, pallbearers, and all family members.
- Scheduling all Family Service employees on a regular or rotating basis, ensuring coverage at all times.
- Ensuring staff is providing at-need clients with all options and services available, including tours of the site and plot locations.
- Responding to routine and non-routine problems, as they occur within the site that may impact and involve coordination and solutions with other departments at that location.
Requirements
This position requires a significant ability to empathize with grieving families through a time of heightened emotion.
Emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain professionalism are required skills.
One to two years of direct sales experience, preferably in the Cemetery industry, or 2-3 years experience outside the industry.
At least one year of supervisory or management experience, preferably within a sales capacity.
- Ability to implement new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
- Possesses influence and the ability to interact and collaborate with people at all levels and in a team atmosphere.
- Strong organization skills with an ability to effectively and quickly complete tasks and assignments and meets deadlines.
- High school diploma required
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
