Requirements to Apply :

• Fluent Bilingual : English / Spanish - REQUIRED
• Registered Dental Assistant License in California active and in good standing - PREFERRED
• Dental Assistant Certificate from accredited program - Accepted
• Certifications : Coronal polishing & X-ray certification
• BLS or CPR card and First Aid
• You will need to obtain your Pit and Fissure Sealants certification within 60 days after the date of hire if you don’t currently have one.

The Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant assists the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instrument supplies.

Schedule Options :

1. Full Time - Standard Hours - Registered Dental Assistant - RDA - ONLY

• Monday - Friday, 1-2 rotating Saturdays per month required
• All Shift Times : 7 : 45 am - 5 : 00 pm
• If you are booked on a Saturday, you will have a weekday off instead.

2. Full Time - Late Start Hours - Dental Assistant - DA - ONLY

• Monday - Friday, 1-2 rotating Saturdays per month required
• All Shift Times : 8 : 45 am - 6 : 00 pm
• If you are booked on a Saturday, you will have a weekday off instead.

3. Full Time - Extended Hours Support - Dental Assistant or Registered DA accepted

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday - 7 : 45am - 5pm
• Wednesday Late Start - 10 : 45am to 8pm or 9 : 45am to 7pm (will align with DDS schedule)
• Thursday Late Start - 8 : 45am-6pm
• 1-2 rotating Saturdays per month required - 7 : 45am - 5 : 00pm

4. Part Time - Extended Hours Support - Dental Assistant or Registered DA accepted

• Monday - 7 : 45am - 5pm
• Wednesday Late Start - 10 : 45am to 8pm or 9 : 45am to 7pm (will align with DDS schedule)
• Thursday Late Start - 8 : 45am-6pm

Pay Rate :

• Registered Dental Assistant $24.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on knowledge and experience
• Dental Assistant $21.00 to $26.00 per hour depending on knowledge and experience

Responsibilities :

• Serve as Dentist Chairside Assistant
• Prepares operation procedures for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions.
• Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law
• The Dental Assistant maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assists the dental director, and dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly.
• May be required to perform front office duties such as Scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, and managing balance due
