The Business Analyst (BA) position is an exciting opportunity working with external Group Benefits (GB) business partners to enable strategic data connections with their Enrollment and HRIS platforms and Vendor partners.
Working with technology platform partners, vendor partners and GB business partners (Operations, Implementation, Sales, Claims, Client Relationship Managers, Product, IT), the IT BA role will drive consultative conversations to determine the best data solution option for the Customer and for The Hartford.
The IT BA will use a variety of skills such as relationship building skills, consultation, data driven decision making and project management skills to prioritize work, respond to multiple deadlines, and balance concurrent tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment.
The IT BA role will include working closely with an external vendor partner and Group Benefits’ IT in support of an outbound data connection.
Responsibilities :
Ability to craft and manage documentation that supports the effective delivery of technology that meets specific business needs.
Build strong relationships with external vendors, external technology platform partners, product and IT teams.
Take accountability for successful Customer’s HR Tech platform experience.
Ability to recognize customer data sensitivity and limit use and distribution of protected information to the minimum amount required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with business and technology colleagues at all organizational levels.
Quickly troubleshoot and problem solve data issues while being responsive to both internal and external business partners.
Ability to apply the appropriate knowledge and techniques necessary to draw out requirements completely and accurately from stakeholders.
Ability to effectively analyze raw data to make conclusions about that information and effectively communicate or visualize them to others.
Qualifications :
Strong understanding of various data exchange options electronic data interface (EDI) File Feeds, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Familiarity or prior experience with HR Tech platforms and working with vendors of The Hartford. Workday Certification is strongly preferred.
3+ years of experience with Group Products and Systems (Leave, Life, Disability and Supplemental Health).
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience as an IT BA
Workday certification or experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative mindset.
Ability to critically analyze data, problem solve, make judgments as to reliability / accuracy of information received.
Ability to multi-task while demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a complex environment.
Requires knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL and MS Excel including advanced formulas and functions, Ultra Edit and TOAD.
High technical aptitude and ability to work independently.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively influence others.
This role is a hybrid position : 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, weekly.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
The annualized base pay range for this role is :
$78,640 - $117,960
