Accounting Manager
JobSummary :
The Accounting Manageris responsible for managing the daytoday accounting operations ofthe company ensuring accurate financial reporting maintaininginternal controls and supporting the overall financial health ofthe organization.
This role will oversee a team of accountingprofessionals and work closely with senior management to providefinancial insights and support strategic decisionmaking.
KeyResponsibilities :
- FinancialReporting :
- Overseethe preparation and analysis of monthly quarterly and annualfinancial statements.
- Ensure timely andaccurate monthend and yearend closingprocesses.
- Review and approve journal entriesaccount reconciliations and financialreports.
- BudgetingandForecasting :
- Assistin the development of the annual budget and financialforecasts.
- Monitor financial performanceagainst budgets and forecasts providing varianceanalysis.
- Support senior management infinancial planning andanalysis.
- InternalControls andCompliance :
- Developimplement and maintain internal controls and accountingpolicies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and otherrelevant accounting standards.
- Coordinate andsupport internal and external audits providing necessarydocumentation andinformation.
- GeneralLedgerManagement :
- Overseethe general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness offinancial data.
- Manage the chart of accountsand ensure proper classification and recording oftransactions.
- Ensure the integrity ofaccounting systems andprocesses.
- TeamLeadership andDevelopment :
- Managementor and develop a team of accountingprofessionals.
- Foster a collaborative andhighperformance culture within the accountingdepartment.
- Provide training and support toensure staff are uptodate with accounting standards and bestpractices.
- SpecialProjects and ProcessImprovement :
- Leadand participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned bysenior management.
- Identify opportunities forprocess improvements and implement bestpractices.
- Assist in system upgrades andenhancements. Qualifications :
- Education :
- Education :
- Bachelorsdegree in Accounting Finance or related fieldrequired.
- CPA or CMA certificationpreferred.
- Experience :
- Minimumof 710 years of progressive experience in accounting orfinance.
- Prior experience in a supervisory ormanagement role required.
- Experience with ERPsystems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excelskills.
