A top-ranked, academically affiliated hospital is excited to welcome 2 pediatric faculty urologists to join their program.

The hospital has 600+ beds and is a level 1 trauma center. The urology department is staffed with 8 other urologists, dedicated APPs and urology residents.

Program Highlights :

• The pediatric urology department is a comprehensive pediatric urology practice that services a broad patient demographic across the Southeastern US.

Position Highlights :

• Will join the Director of Pediatric Urology.
• The position is 100% pediatric urology and offers all types of pediatric urology cases (major reconstruction, spina bifida, genital reconstruction, stones, robots, minimally invasive surgery, etc.).
• The practice has 2 XI robots and 1 SP robot available.
• Typically, the practice has 2 clinic days, 2 OR days and a flex day.
• The incoming physician will be involved in teaching of urology residents.
• Call is 1 : 2 and is non-burdensome as the residents take first call.
• An established Colorectal-Bladder and Congenital Malformations clinic are manned by the pediatric urologist. Additional collaborative stone clinics with nephrology can be developed.

A combined monthly pediatric-nephrology-radiology conference has been established.

• The program supports the teaching of two urology residents per year who rotate on the service for 6 months. Collaboration with the Adult fellowship trained urologist is available in oncology, endourology reconstructive and prosthetic male urology and Female urology.
• A close collaboration with pediatrics allows for teaching of pediatric residents and an appointment in pediatrics and in addition to teaching, research opportunities are available.
• Competitive compensation (TN has no state income tax!) that include sign-on bonus and relocation stipend.
