This person will lead the mechanical design effort of complex assemblies, optimizing parts for performance, manufacturability, ease-of-assembly, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Translate benchtop prototypes designed into scaled-up, functional, manufacturable designs.
- Turn these designs efficiently into reliable prototypes
- Iterate and refine this design through successive prototype stages, from proof-of-concept to design optimized for manufacturability.
- Prepare engineering documentation to be delivered to manufacturers for mass production.
Required Qualifications
- BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience designing parts and assemblies and working with suppliers and manufacturers to execute them
- Knowledge of wide range of manufacturing and prototyping processes
- Strong CAD experience
