The position collaborates with a Lead District Teacher, Family Members, and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.
The role encompasses effective practices as outlined in our Assistant Teacher Success Rubric and stated job duties.
The Assistant Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a range of instructional, assessment, and positive behavioral support strategies to ensure educational excellence in a Head Start classroom for a maximum of fifteen (15) 3 5-year-old children.

High School Diploma Required
Preschool CDA (Childcare Development Associate) Credential Completed or Willingness to complete within one year of start date.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or OR enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.

This position isfull-time with benefits and requires work on-site at 578 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, and earns $16.
84 / hr. (for non-bilingual) or $17.52 / hr. (for bilingual) candidates.
Pre Hire Requirements :
Two Valid IDs, Two Reference Letters, Physical exams and TB Tests, Fingerprint Screening (CHRI), and Background Checks (CARI) are required for this position.
Must have a Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
All new hires are required to attend the four days (Tuesday - Friday) of mandatory New Employee Orientation Training at our HQ - 310 Augusta Street, South Amboy,NJ 08879.
