About The Position
Job Title : Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital Job Specialty : Inpatient / Acute Care Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 72 Hours per 2 weeks (with the possibility of being called off for one 8-hour shift per two weeks depending on the schedule) Experience : 1 Year of Acute Care Experience License : Alaska Occupational Therapist License (Pending License Accepted) Certifications : BLS, NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) Must-Have : Acute Care Experience- Adult Inpatient Experience Job Description : An opportunity to work as an Inpatient / Acute Care Occupational Therapist.
Workdays include weekdays and may involve minimal weekend shifts.- Not open to accommodating block schedules.- Not available to local candidates;
candidates must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility.- Opportunity for the first-timers is available.- Willingness to work two out of the three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
- Must have specific charting experience with Epic.- Completion of non-billable modules, averaging 16 hours, is required pre-start and annually.
- The facility provides 40 hours of non-billable orientation.- Housing options might be limited; candidates are encouraged to look into this ahead of time.
- Scrub color is flexible; professionals can wear any or choose business casual attire.- The facility is a Magnet Hospital and a Level II Trauma Center, recognized as one of the best in the region.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required, but medical / religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.- Hepatitis B vaccines are required;
titers or declinations are not accepted.- Providers will receive necessary communication devices, or reimbursed for work-related mobile phone use.
