Cloud Solution Architect

Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect specializing in AWS Data Lake solutions. In this role, you will plan, develop, test, and document cloud-based data systems using your expertise in programming and cloud services.

You will be responsible for evaluating user requirements for new or modified systems, including data ETL pipelines (Python / AWS Glue) and front-end data submission apps (JavaScript / AWS Amplify).

You will play a vital role in the implementation of an AWS Data Lake, translating program requirements into technical solutions, defining data governance policies, tracking project expenses, and maintaining security and identity management protocols.

Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the smooth integration of new tools and features, implementing AWS Glue crawlers and jobs, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect, develop, and implement cloud-based data solutions leveraging AWS services.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and documentation of data pipelines and cloud applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and clarify operational goals and program objectives.
• Implement new data feeds via APIs and manage the AWS Amplify platform for data uploads.
• Define and enforce data governance, access management, and security protocols.
• Track and report project expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines.
• Support and mentor program staff in the adoption and use of new AWS tools.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue crawlers, jobs, and related data lake components.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 8+ years of experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python programming .
• 8+ years of experience with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) .
• 8+ years of experience with AWS S3 .
• 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect .
• Experience with AWS Glue (preferred).
• Experience with AWS Amplify (preferred).
• Familiarity with AWS MQ, AWS SQS (preferred).
• Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Preferred Skills :

• Proven experience architecting large-scale cloud solutions with AWS.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in data processing and cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of structured analysis, object-oriented development, and design methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
