Drilling Fluid Solutions, LLC ( DFS ) is seeking a Safety Manager to join our team based in Houston, TX. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Operations.
As the Safety Manager you will be responsible for managing DFS's Health, Safety and Environmental programs throughout its three primary operating areas North Louisiana, South Texas, West Texas and driving a safety-oriented approach to all work.
You must be a self-starter, highly motivated with an ability to work with minimal supervision. Learning, understanding, and improving DFS’ various processes, policies, and procedures currently in place.
- Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) / OSHA regulations
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred but not required.
- CPR / First Aid, Emergency Medical Technician (EMTA) certification and OSHA / MSHA instructor certifications are preferred.
- Familiarity with PEC, ISN, Avetta, etc. and maintaining proper records and updates as required therefrom.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a safety related discipline is preferred.
