About Social Construct
Social Construct is a startup in San Francisco inventing new ways to deliver better housing, faster and for less, so we can all afford to live in places we love.
We are venture-backed and led by an experienced, mission-driven team. We are committed to an inclusive culture where we support each other so we can do our best work.
We are an equal opportunity employer that takes diversity, equality, and fairness seriously in our hiring and compensation practices, as well as in our worldview.
We offer a suite of benefits, including stock options, competitive pay, and parental leave.
About the Role
To radically reduce the cost of bringing housing to market, Social Construct is reimagining construction sites as assembly lines.
This takes an integrated software and hardware approach, and we are seeking a visionary, data-driven product leader who has a history of shipping products that customers love.
The Head of Product will oversee development of the system that will continue to improve our product and efficiencies and change the lives of all those who live in our buildings.
Responsibilities for the role include :
- Overseeing an integrated hardware and software product management team in bringing construction products to market.
- Prioritizing data-driven decisions in developing product roadmaps.
- Forecasting, measuring, and achieving product cost and quality targets.
- Balancing the needs within our customer landscape : real estate developers, construction installers, and end-users (apartment renters).
This role is based at our headquarters in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco with walking access to MUNI, CalTrain, and free street parking.
About You
- Experience using integrated hardware and software approaches in bringing products to life.
- Bias toward shipping product, not R&D.
- Deep knowledge of architecture and construction.
- Demonstrated personal and professional history of self-directed learning.
- An empathetic, strong listener and clear communicator.
- A curious and independent thinker who enjoys teamwork.
- Legally authorized to live and work in the United States. (This job is based in San Francisco.)
