East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to provide leadership in our Early Head Start classroom in East Providence, RI. Position Overview

As an Early Head Start Lead Teacher, you'll create nurturing, safe learning environments while guiding your classroom team. You'll implement evidence-based approaches that promote each child's cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development while ensuring family engagement and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily classroom operations and supervise teaching staff, substitutes, and volunteers
• Implement curriculum following Head Start Program Performance Standards, Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, RI Child Day Care Center Regulations, and RI Early Learning Standards
• Apply approaches from Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), The Incredible Years (IY), and Creative Curriculum
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Promote children's intellectual and physical development
• Foster social competence and emotional well-being
• Ensure meaningful parent / family involvement
• Document children's progress and maintain required records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support each child's individual needs

Qualifications

Candidates must have excellent presentation, leadership, and management skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents, children, and colleagues. You must have ONE of the following :
