Senior Tax Accountant
A well established manufacturing company here in Nashville is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to their corporate team.
This person will work with corporate income tax compliance, planning, and provision. They will be responsible for preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns, tax provision preparation and tax planning.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare annual corporate and partnership tax returns and extensions.
- Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual income tax provision calculation (ASC 740).
- Research tax questions / issues and involvement in other special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exams is a plus.
- Experience working with Excel for Apps is a plus.
Qualifications (Skills & Abilities) :
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to research issues, make recommendations, and pick up quickly on new systems and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills & enjoys learning new technology.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all types of individuals.
