THE BELMONT VILLAGE DIFFERENCE
PURPOSE
To provide excellent customer service and support to meet the benefits needs of employees and management in a multi-state operational structure.
Assist in the administration of employee health and welfare plans, retirement savings plan and leave administration. Act as liaison for employees to resolve benefit related inquiries and concerns.
Support the Director of Benefits with various special projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leave of absence administration including compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordination with state and disability vendors as necessary.
- Assist in administering health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations.
- Facilitate resolution to employee benefit related inquiries as appropriate and escalate complex issues to Director of Benefits.
- Maintain a working knowledge of and interpret applicable employee benefits regulations including ERISA, PPACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
- Assist with annual open enrollment, including distribution of materials, communication of changes to employees, guidance to human resource staff and managers.
- Process elections and changes within deadlines.
- Monitor health and welfare legislation for changes.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Prepare reports and provide data analytics for management related to benefit programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in coordinating and administering leaves of absence and employee benefits, including 401(k) retirement plans.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, and PDL regulations.
- Highly analytical with ability to perform complex reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to multi-task and have proven administrative and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated time management skills, composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ADP Health & Welfare, ADP Reporting and ADP Enterprise experience is a preferred
- Experience with employee self-service and HRIS systems
- Certification CEBS or CBS preferred
