SUMMARY :
Provides support instruction to high school students under the direction of an instructor. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a positive team member to assist with problem solving situations as they relate to student and program needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide support instruction under the direction of the instructor.
- Participate as a member of a team to assist with problem solving situations as they relate to student and program needs.
- Assist in the development of mentorship sites.
- Assist with student mentorship assignments.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Active involvement in the coordination of student clubs.
- Participate in advisory board meetings.
- Assist in monitoring of student academic progress.
- Active involvement in Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center school committees.
- Active involvement in Student Clubs activities.
- Work with students in small groups and one-on-one.
- Be present in buildings with regular and continued attendance and punctuality.
- Follow all Board Policies, Staff Handbook and Administrative Guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Michigan Registered Nurse License; required.
Evidence of technical writing skills and computer literacy using Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and procedures; required.
Minimum of three years related work experience as a registered nurse; required.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Previous experience with high school student population; preferred.
Work experience in a licensed long-term care facility; preferred.
American Heart Association CPR and First Aid instructor; preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Michigan Registered Nurse License.
Train-the-Trainer certified or certifiable.
Valid Driver's License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
