We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Director to join our client's team and play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace environment.
This position will focus on various aspects of employee relations, human capital management, and organizational culture.
The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
This role is open to relocation for someone who has a strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a robust employee relations strategy. Provide expert advice and coaching to both employees and management.
Actively engage with the workforce to understand their needs and enhance overall employee engagement.
- Ensure the organization is prepared for future challenges through effective succession planning.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic HR programs. Ensure consistent application of policies and practices, and provide guidance to management on the administration of the employee handbook, including policy and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to human resources, including employment law, EEO, and labor standards.
Proactively address issues and conduct training to promote awareness.
- Collaborate with compensation teams to evaluate pay levels and assess market competitiveness.
- Manage the staffing process by implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract diverse and high-quality candidates.
Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Communicate and reinforce the organization’s vision, culture, and values. Provide training and facilitation to support cultural initiatives.
- Drive performance management initiatives through coaching, counseling, and disciplinary programs. Collaborate with leaders to enhance productivity and ensure alignment of goals.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all HR-related data and systems.
- Work with HR colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Provide effective training and development programs for all organizational levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- 8+ years' of professional HR experience, ideally from a manufacturing business, with a combination of corporate and business unit line experience preferred
- 5+ year's of people leadership experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Strong Knowledge of California employment Laws
- Proven experience in a human resources role, with a focus on employee relations and talent management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
