A caregiver in this position works 7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration / air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating / cooling units.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical / electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.
• Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

• High school diploma or GED.
• State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service.
• Three years of experience as a commercial / residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilitiesman, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered.

Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and / or air handling may substitute up to one year of experience.

Ability to read electric schematic diagrams.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

• Completion of a formal HVAC / Refrigeration training program.
• Work experience in a hospital setting.
