VANDEVEER GARZIA, a civil litigation firm seeks a full-time Legal Assistant for fast paced Troy office. 2 years litigation legal secretary experience is required for this position.
Applicant should be self-motivated with excellent computer, typing, organizational and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the group and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of two attorneys.
The firm provides a complete benefit package including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, a HSA match and a 401K Safe Harbor plan with profit sharing.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys
- Handle communication and correspondence with client and opposing counsel
- Locate and develop case relevant information
Qualifications
- Experience in legal assistance
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
- Self-motivated with excellent computer, typing, organizational and communication skills
