Summary
A Child's Garden Childcare Center is looking for full time assistant teachers and floaters to work with children ages infant - five.
These positions are 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday..
Duties
We are looking for teachers to work full time, 40 hours a week, working as a floater. Only applicants who love working with children and have day care experience should apply.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher :
- Assist the lead teacher in providing care and supervision to toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Sit, Stand and bend with no problems. Lift up to 50lbs. with no problems.
- Support the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in planning and organizing daily activities
- Assist with behavior management and provide guidance to children with special needs, including those with autism
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for all children
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Assist with mealtime routines, diaper changes, and other daily care tasks as needed
Skills for the Assistant Teacher
- 1+ years of Early Childhood experience required
- Experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children
- Strong organizational skills to assist with curriculum development and activity planning
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with young children
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors

Requirements
