Experienced Medical Assistant needed for busy facility located in Lagrangeville, NY Monday - Thursday from 8am-4 : 30pm on a long-term contract basis.
Assist physicians with patient care by taking vital signs and histories and preparing patients for examinations. Keep examination rooms clean, stock them with necessary supplies, and prepare them for incoming patients.
Organize patient charts before each day's clinic sessions.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow while professionally greeting visitors. Ensure all instruments used during exams were correctly cleaned according to established protocols after use.
Assist medical staff in performing minor surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records through filing, charting, transcription, and data entry into the electronic health record system.
- Assist with training of the new employees
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose levels, under the direct supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Medical Assistant certificate with clinical work experience
- Positive attitude
- Availability to work 8am - 4 : 30pm, Monday- Thursday
- Flu shot required
