Product Owner - Data & AI Engineering (Houston)

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the Sports Retail industry, is seeking an experienced Product Owner focused on the Data Platform and AI Engineering space, who will be responsible for driving the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of data and AI initiatives across the enterprise. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams - including data engineers, AI / ML engineers, and business stakeholders - to translate business needs into technical deliverables and ensure the timely delivery of high-impact solutions. The Product Owner oversees the end-to-end product journey, from gathering and prioritizing requirements to monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement. Success in this role depends on deep familiarity with modern data stack technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and MLOps practices, as well as strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Experiences :

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management within data platforms, AI / ML, or enterprise analytics environments.
• Experience in defining and managing product roadmaps for data engineering and AI solutions.
• Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams including data engineers, AI / ML engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications for data and AI products.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow).
• Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and delivering high-impact data and AI solutions.
