Our client is seeking a qualified MEDICAL ASSISTANT for their clinic located in Arlington Heights, IL.

JOB INFORMATION

Full Time, TEMP-TO-HIRE

Pay Rate : $19-$23 / hr (Depending on experience and certification)

8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM (M-F)

Location : Arlington Heights

REPORTS TO : Service Line Director

JOB SUMMARY

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office.

You will support nurse practitioners and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Protect patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Current Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred)

1 year experience (Required)

EMR experience (Required)

Strong writing and verbal skills

Ability to work through interruptions, manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations.
