Responsibilities Work in a 61-bed combined Med / Surg float pool within an acute hospital setting Care for a mix of surgical and medical patients, including post-op orthopedic, bariatric, urology, CHF, CVA, respiratory, and diabetic cases Standard patient ratios are 1 : 5 during day shifts and 1 : 6 during night shifts Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is preferred Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts Weekend and holiday coverage required on an every-other basis First to float policy applies to this role Technology includes Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow therapy Tele monitoring is present; monitor tech reads strips and RN confirms Support provided by charge nurse and nurse aides with a 1 : 15 ratio No titration of drips required on this unit Unit-specific orientation and traveler checklist will be completed upon hire Any color scrubs may be worn Returning candidates cannot have worked directly for any CHI or Dignity / CommonSpirit facility in the past year First time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active ND or Compact RN license in hand; pending licenses are not accepted Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Must have skills comparable to current Med / Surg standards within the facility Copy of driver’s license required for consideration Two professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and another from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615200.
