- Coding EMS / Ambulance accounts
- No certification Required, just experience
What will they be coding :
- Non-Emergency Transports (In the Ambulance)
- Symptoms, Chest Pain, Seizures, Overdose, Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA;’s)
- Pain & Stress Codes
- Bed confined patients, patients being discharged home, going to rehab facility
Examples of Transports They will code for :
- See about 7,000 runs per month
- 90% are from Facility to Facility Emergency
- Ex : If a Hospital is at full capacity the may make a transport to a sister Hospital
- Inner Facility Transports
- Non-Emergency : Take patients home from Hospital (If they are bed ridden, have an altered mental status, etc.)
- Transports from Nursing homes, Rehab Hospital, Hospitals, etc.
- Do NOT see a lot of dialysis but do see some
Hours : Complete flex
Can Pay $18-22 / hr
