Network Security Engineer - Work from home

Description : *We are currently seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer within the Security Architecture and Engineering team, part of our client’s Technology Information Security organization.

This individual will be focusing on complex, enterprise level security and networking projects, applying security governance.

This individual will be joining a team of 3 including the team lead. They typical day to day for this individual from the team lead is below.

Half of their job will be based around firewalls. They will be evaluating incoming firewall rule requests. They have process in place where another team may need a flow from one environment to another and one step in the process is an evaluation on the firewall policy from this team.

This individual would evaluate these polices, do a risk assessment and compare it against other policies and standards to ensure compliance and then approving the policy.

They would also coach individuals on why a protocol is not in compliant and teach them the policy. They would also handle exceptions for any business use cases that would come up.

They will also deal with firewalls from a technical standpoint by making sure baselines and configurations within the firewalls are complaint.

The two biggest frameworks here are CIS and NSIT 800-53. Other things the individual will handle are helping implement continuous monitoring for their security baselines.

They are looking to implement fireman and skybox to automate the monitoring of the baseline configuration of different network devices.

Ideally the individual will be helping with the automation. They will also be helping with domain white listing using Cisco umbrellas product and experience with web proxy for URL white listing.

Lastly they also build custom policy sets within netscope as well.*Skills : *Network security, Information security, paloalto, security, firewall*Top Skills Details : *Network security,Information security,paloalto*Additional Skills & Qualifications : *Python or any scripting would be a plus for the automation experience.

They are a Cisco shop so cisco experience is preferred as well. Financial services experience would be preferred as well.
