We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Local Government sector, based in Richmond, Virginia.
In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various administrative tasks, such as document management, customer service, and scheduling appointments.
This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
- Assist with scanning and uploading mail and other documents, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Schedule clients for EBT and assist with Snap Benefits as required
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Provide strong customer service, demonstrating the ability to deal with a diverse group of clientele
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for various administrative tasks
- Apply skills in Case Management where necessary
- Manage and review documents, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Demonstrated experience in Customer Service
- Proven skills in Case Management
- Experience with Document Control
- Proficiency in Scheduling and Calendar Management
- Ability to use Telephone Answering Systems
- Document Management skills
- Experience with Document Review
- Experience with Document Scanning
- Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
- Previous experience in a local government setting is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computer software such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications may be preferred.
