Summary : Provides Clinical Services to consumers in criminal justice programs
Job Duties :
- Carries caseload of approximately 25
- Maintains clear and informative charts as per Clinic guidelines
- Appropriately diagnoses clients and updates as necessary in conjunction with Program QIP
- Works with client to develop and implement treatment plans
- Refers clients to mental health services when appropriate
- Consults with psychiatrist on shared clients' medication compliance and effectiveness
- Coordinates client needs and consults with case manager when appropriate
- Conducts group therapy as scheduled
- Represents Clinic in court proceedings as needed
- Conducts monthly individual sessions
Essential Qualifications :
Certifications / Licensures :
- Certification as a CAP or MCAP, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Florida Certification Board is preferred at time of hire;
- Preference will be given to those candidates who are currently Certified;
Education :
Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required
Experience and Competencies :
- Two years of related work experience in Mental Health, and / or Substance Abuse field preferred
- Ability to meet requirements of Monroe County Sheriffs Office background check
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required.
