About The Position
Job Title : Medical Laboratory Technician - General Lab - NightsJob Specialty : LaboratoryJob Duration : 13 weeksShift : Night, 5x8Guaranteed Hours : Not specifiedExperience : Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience preferredLicense : Med Lab TechnicianCertifications : Med Lab Technician (AAB), Med Lab Technician (AMT), or Med Lab Technician (ASCP)Must-Have : - Ability to maintain accuracy in patient care and testing- Critical thinking and analytical skills- Strong communication and organizational skillsJob Description : - Perform lab tests with minimal supervision once competency is demonstrated.
- Ensure acceptable accuracy in patient care, quality assurance, and proficiency testing.- Utilize clinical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and report lab data accurately.
- Initiate problem investigation and work towards resolution.- Comply with procedures for tracking laboratory test status and information hand-off.
- Meet department standards for organizational skills and productivity.- Practice cost-efficient work processes while maintaining high-quality laboratory data.
- Stay informed on current training, education, and practice of policies and procedures.- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of laboratory regulatory compliance.
- Adhere to safety standards and participate in meetings, committees, task forces, and project teams.- Fulfill educational requirements on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.- Take responsibility for corrective actions when needed.Additional Notes : - Weekend requirement includes 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
