Position Summary and Duties

Represents the University both on-campus and internationally to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college search and selection process.

Attracts and evaluates international admission candidates, answers questions and advises prospective students and their families on procedures and requirements for admission.

Responsible for recruiting, advising, processing, and evaluating applications from international students and U.S. citizens living abroad.

Builds and maintains a professional network in assigned territories.

Essential functions :

Student Recruitment Tailors students recruitment activities to territory environment and culture. Participates in various students visit programs designed to recruit targeted prospective applicants.

Collaborates with other departments and offices across campus to support recruitment and admission activities. Assists in the development of on-campus events and programs for groups and individuals.

Ensures that the University is making every effort to attract and enroll an academically-qualified and diverse student population.

Occasional night and weekend work and significant travel to international locations required.

Admission Analyze international grades and credentials to determine U.S. equivalency. Complete holistic and need-aware review of international applications.

Recommend admission decisions for international students and U.S. citizens abroad. Serve as the primary point of contact for students in assigned international territories from prospect through enrolled statuses.

Student Counsel and Customer Service Counsels prospective applicants on studying in the U.S., the Loyola admissions process, and opportunities at the University.

Provides one-on-one admission counseling to applicants by in-person appointments, phone calls and emails. Assists students and families at every stage of the enrollment process, from inquiry through enrollment (application completion, enrollment deposit, housing application, registration, etc.

through targeted use of outgoing contact (via email, telephone, and other communication methods).

Outreach and Marketing Builds and maintains relationships externally with international counselors and EducationUSA advisors and internally with many Loyola academic and administrative offices.

Maintains involvement in professional organizations keep abreast of trends and best practices, and represents the university at conferences.

Assists in development of international presentations, brochures, testimonials, and other promotional pieces.

Required Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of international admission / recruitment experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid passport. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Ability and willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally. Ability to interact respectfully and work effectively with people of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, personal, and religious backgrounds, including people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Superior public speaking, interpersonal, organizational, and written skills.

Commitment to enrolling and retaining a diverse student body, as well as a passion for global education.

Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institutional diversity.

Occasionally require to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree

Fluency in language(s) in addition to English
