The Nursing Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for our Medical / Surgical Nursing Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).

Job Overview

On a part-time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a diverse set of students.

Part-time faculty must be able to teach Medical / Surgical nursing in college lab, simulation, and clinical courses.

Adjunct faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems;

2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.

All classes may be offered day or evening.

Essential Functions

• On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
• Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
• Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
• Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

A BSN or higher from an approved registered nursing education program

Required Trainings / Certifications

Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio

Required Experience

Have at least two (2) years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.

Additional Qualifications Considered

At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting

A Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
