We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work in hybrid model onsite in Lexington, MA. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in managing multi-phase infrastructure, software development, and cloud implementations, as well as proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Job Description :
As a Project Manager in Information Technology, you will be responsible for executing major projects and programs within the Information Systems Department (ISD) using standard methodologies and tools to ensure successful delivery.
This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, technical leads, developers, and third-party vendors.
You will manage all aspects of project scope, schedule, risks, and changes to deliver results that align with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Execute major projects and programs, using standardized project management frameworks, tools, and templates.
Lead the definition of new projects, including scoping, planning, and development of business cases, project charters, plans, and metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders from project scope definition to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and issues, minimizing exposure and risks across multiple projects.
Lead and document meetings, manage action items, and provide regular project status reporting.
Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and budget adherence.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and infrastructure standards.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and project management methodologies.
Must-Have Skills :
Proven experience managing multi-year, multi-phase infrastructure, software development, ERP, and cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) implementations.
Expertise in PMBOK Waterfall and Agile Scrum methodologies.
Strong understanding of application programming, database and system design, and client / server architectures.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, influencing and driving organizational change.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Project Professional.
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications :
Background in the Department of Defense (DoD).
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
ITIL Foundations Certification.
Experience in project management methodology development or process improvement.
Business analysis experience.
