We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Aftermarket Business Development Manager to join our team at Donaldson. This position is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving sales of replacement dust collector filters to large industrial production facilities. This pivotal role will work across different departments with the primary goal of hunting for and acquiring new business.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • A strong understanding of industrial filtration systems
  • Prior business development or new business acquisition experience
  • The ability to leverage success stories and case studies to drive sales within targeted accounts

This is a hybrid role based out of our Bloomington, MN office.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth by selling replacement dust collector filters to large industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Identify and target potential clients, focusing on key decision-makers in manufacturing, mining, food, pharmaceutical, metalworking and other industrial sectors.
  • Through market research, cold calls, customer contact and other means, identifies sales opportunities and leads to secure new end user business
  • Engage and connect all our sales channels including field sales, direct sales, dealer partners, and resellers to secure new business at identified accounts
  • Lead sales presentations, pricing negotiations, business and product proposals, and other communications designed to drive sales
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by completing quotes, reviewing business opportunities, and answering technical questions
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact to national accounts - build relationships, navigate complex / matrix organizations, identify specific customer needs and application for filtration
  • Assist in the development of sales and marketing promotions focused on strategic end user customers
  • Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Travel : Up to 30%

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience
  • 1+ year of experience acquiring new business or new customers
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Self-starter motivated by closing sales
  • Previous experience selling in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation abilities and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mechanical / technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
  • Demonstrated use of solid public relations skills, a polished / professional demeanor, and ability to present to groups or individuals in a persuasive manner
