Key Responsibilities

• As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for establishing the company’s financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.
• Provide accurate and informative financial reporting for all aspects of the business. Assist the CFO with special projects as required.
• Process month and end year financial reports / functions, accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, fixed asset activity.
• Reconcile Trust accounts and provide monthly activity summary.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Assist with preparation of Capital and Operational Budgets.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Provide recommendations to improve efficiency within the accounting group.
• Process Improvements, improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Meet financial accounting reporting objectives, produce company financial statements.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant with a proven ability to provide meaningful financial reports and analyses.
• Construction accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and advanced computer skills on MS Office Suite, accounting software and databases.
• Excellence in creating Excel formulas, spreadsheets and charts supporting data and ability to manipulate large amounts of data and conduct competitive analytical reports.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention with focus on detail and accuracy.
• Drug test, background check and a clean driving record are pre-employment requirements.
• Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; lift up to 20 lbs.
