Position Summary

The Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) division is looking for top-notch Engineering Interns with a desire to apply their talents towards solving the unsolvable.
The successful engineer will be part of a dynamic cross-functional team that will plan, design, develop, integrate, and test world class solutions to meet customer needs.
Assignments (some with strict deadlines to meet) will be commensurate with the student's academic background to take advantage of their expertise and provide real life application of their classroom knowledge.
Base pay rate for this position is $30.00 per hour.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
Duties may include the following :
o Electrical Design and Schematic Capture (Altium).
o Power Budget Calculations (Excel).
o Technical Writing (Limited basis in Manuals, Etc.).
o Parts Sorting / Organization for Product Assembly.
o Build and Integration Support.
o Assembly Support (Engineering Liaison).
o Test Monitoring / Documentation (Reports).
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program as a rising junior or senior or a master's degree program.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to work full-time during defined internship period.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
DESIRED
- 3.0+ cumulative GPA.
- Academic excellence and community involvement.
- Familiarity with the application of current engineering software (i.e. Altium, MATLAB, LabView etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Knowledge of power distribution systems.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Experience using test equipment (i.e. Programmable loads, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, etc.).
- Experience with PCB design.
Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
