The Department of Athletics is recruiting for a Director of Baseball Operations. The position will report to the head baseball coach daily and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the baseball program and assist in student-athlete development.
Job Description :
- Will organize, direct, and coordinate the program's administrative operations.
- Assist with the preparation and management of the overall budget.
- Assist with program fundraising events and alumni relations.
- Assist with the management of all facilities associated with the program.
- Coordinate travel / meals and other administrative aspects of team events, including flights, buses and hotels. Constructing itineraries and scheduling for all trips.
- Assist with expense reports.
- Assist with the student-athlete development and growth. Help coordinate academic items and needs - collaborating with the athletics' academic advisor to the team and the coaching staff.
- Assist in coordinating community engagement and service.
- Know and understand GW University, GW Athletic Department, Baseball Program, and NCAA D1 standards-rules-guidelines-and protocols.
Demonstrate a commitment to following these rules.
Responsible for directing the team's student managers. Assigning tasks, jobs, and assignments for the student managers.
Essential Duties :
- Administrative support, General Operations, Office Management, Scheduling, and Travel Management.
- Preparation and management of the travel budget, scheduling, and itineraries.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the program's administrative operations. Communicate and coordinate with game management, marketing, and with visiting teams and umpires for all game day operations and logistics.
- Plan and administer all facets of team travel including hotels, transportation, and meals. Responsible for planning and organizing team meals.
- Scheduling team practices at home and away sites. Responsible for equipment management and ordering : equipment budget, all apparel and equipment orders and purchasing, inventory and safekeeping of program equipment, repair and replacement of equipment.
- Alumni Relations : help organize any events or outings related to alumni (golf event) and continue to grow the relationships and involvement of our alumni.
- To uphold the University and program standards on a day-to-day basis.
