Responsibilities : Job Summary
Job Summary
The Assessment Clinician evaluates individuals seeking behavioral health / substance use treatment, seeks justification for admission, and coordinates level of care expectations with physicians, Assessment Referral Center, personnel, patient care units, and external agencies.
The Assessment Clinician conducts insurance pre-certifications for individuals evaluated and may provide assessment services for various patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling / Clinical Psychology, or other related fields
- Valid Drivers License
- BLS required from American Heart Association
- Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in mental health field and previous experience in crisis intervention or an assessment / diagnostic setting
