Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Familiarity with accounting systems (i.e., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct)
- Interest in a role with wide scope in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Willingness and ability to attend our annual 3-day company offsite in the fall
Responsibilities
- Finance is responsible for facilitating a strong shared understanding of financial performance, enabling informed business decisions, and ensuring accurate reporting at Check
- As an early member of the Accounting function, you will be at the heart of our finance operations and shape the direction of the team
- This role provides a well-rounded experience with exposure to all areas of accounting
- Manage Accounts Payable processes
- Perform cash and other account reconciliations monthly
- Assist in billing and Accounts Receivable processes
- Work cross-functionally to determine accrual amounts at month-end
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements
- Support payroll processing and reconciliations
- Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Support upgrade from QBO to Sage Intacct
- Help fulfill reporting requests from investors, regulators, etc.
