Summary of Job Duties : The Windgate Artist in Residence will work in the Windgate Center of Art + Design at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for the spring 2026 semester. This is a grant-funded one-semester position. This residency offers the Windgate Artist in Residence the opportunity to make work and to engage with the community of the UA Little Rock School of Art and Design. While in residence, the artist is expected to make work in the provided studio space and / or the shared studio spaces of the building. In addition, artists will interact with students through weekly open studio hours, studio visits to student workspaces, in-class activities hosted by program faculty, and welcome and farewell community receptions. Participating artists will also donate one work of art to the UA Little Rock Art Collection. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency / institution policy.
