Travel RN Job Details Assignment Type : Travel RN (locum tenens) Location : Hendersonville, NC 28791 – North Carolina healthcare jobs Unit : Medical-Surgical Oncology (37-bed unit) Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 17, 2026 Contract Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM), rotating weekends and holidays Hours per Week : Up to 36 hours (facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780-$1910 Float Requirements : Float to similar units (Orthopedics and PCU) as needed On Call : No on-call required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (required) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification (required) AHA ACLS certification (preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience Epic EMR experience within the last year At least one completed travel nursing assignment (no new travelers) Recent night shift experience within the last year Compliance documentation due 7 business days before start date Travel Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical oncology patients, including those with cancer, pneumonia, COPD, dehydration, DVT, infections, GI disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, and mental status changes Care for post-surgical patients (general, bariatric, vascular, urological, endoscopic, podiatric, ENT procedures) Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 5-6 during night shifts Float to Orthopedics and Progressive Care Units (PCU) as needed Participate in scheduled meetings every other month Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Rotate weekends and holidays as scheduled Join our healthcare team in Hendersonville, NC, and experience a supportive work environment recognized for nursing excellence and employee satisfaction.
