Registered Nurse (RN) - OBGYN Job Overview :

• Performs assessments and collects medical histories and physicals.
• Perform collection, maintenance and analysis of data, entering and tracking patient data.
• Utilize the computer-based systems (e.g. CRIS, CTDB), to receive examination requisition, retrieve patient information needed for examinations and record patient data.
• Schedule testing and clinic appointments; initiate medical records; make admission room reservations.
• Assess participant's physiologic condition upon admission, and monitor throughout visit and upon discharge.
• Assess, record and report patient reactions to drugs; report study drug adverse reactions to investigators.
• Assess patient through follow-up by phone, written correspondence or email.
• Perform and assist physicians performing basic physical examination
• Perform collection, maintenance and analysis of data.
• Document care provided, per protocol requirements.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, treatments and medications.
• communicate abnormal results and problems and concerns to the research staff and informs patient of processes and activities for review and follow up.
• Prepare patients for surgical and / or diagnostic procedures, thoroughly explaining the activities

and steps of the procedure and anticipated outcomes.

• Schedule new / return patients' appointments and return patients / families phone calls.
• Provide participant education regarding the research program or testing procedure and instruct participants on computerized testing.
• Prepare medication instructions and detail steps necessary to properly self-administer, monitor, and report results in the case of adverse reactions.
• Attend and participate in patient care conferences.
• Educates the health care plan to patient, family, individuals, groups and others as appropriate.

Registered Nurse (RN) - OBGYN Job Qualifications :

• RN State Licensure : active, current, unrestricted
• BLS by American Heart Association (online course not accepted)
• 4 years research experience
