Reporting to the National Sales Director, the RSD is responsible for effectively leading and managing a team of Neuroscience Specialty Sales Representatives in the East Region that encompasses the following states : NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD, DC, OH, WV, KY, MI, and IN.
The RSD will be responsible for driving key strategic initiatives and leading the strategy execution within the East Region.
The RSD will be responsible for driving business results through effective cross-functional leadership and collaboration with the National Sales Director, corporate account directors, the medical affairs team and other key internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree (BS / BA) required, Advanced Business Degree a plus
- 10+ years of experience in biotech / pharmaceuticals industry
- 4+ years of sales district management experience with 2+ years specialty sales management preferred
- Previous account management and / or institutional experience preferred
- Ability to recruit, retain and develop highest quality staff
- Documented high performance sales and leadership track record
- Proven ability to drive sales, enhance performance, and ensure compliance
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships
- Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management. Other specialty experience will be considered
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated sales abilities
- Judgment / decision making capability and ability to prioritize
- Must reside near major airport within the region
- Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment
- Experience in small company and start-up work environments
- Ability to travel up to 50%
