About The Role

Giants Enterprises is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to further the strategic development efforts related to our various event venues.

The primary focus of this role is to grow Giants Enterprises’ meeting and events division by engaging past and prospective clients across all sectors and strategically securing programs throughout the calendar year.

This role will be responsible for creating and executing a sales plan developed to drive new business, increase revenue and provide exceptional service to our clients all done through a lens of growth and innovation.

A deep knowledge of the local industry is preferred as well as solid and demonstrable sales experience within the meetings / events, hospitality, sports or tourism sectors.

  • Design and implement strategic plans to reach annual sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to target, develop and go to contract with strategic sales targets
  • Build new prospects by consistent networking and actively making sales calls to new clients
  • Develop annual sales plan targeted towards growth and innovation
  • Strong event marketing and design experience is desired
  • Ability to work closely with marketing team to create and implement campaigns to meet sales targets
  • Experience managing and leading a sales team
  • Work in tandem with Vice President on sales targets, projections and analysis in order to drive strategy, including areas of emphasis and specific campaigns initiated
  • Strategically identify direct outbound sales efforts and drive business development opportunities
  • Ability to forecast sales figures and prepare regular reports for management
  • Work with marketing team to develop annual strategic plans and dedicated initiatives to further specifics projects, collateral creation / design, event proposals, etc.
  • Engage current & prospective clients effectively in order to build relationships, provide repeat clientele and consistently meet excellent client service levels
  • Lead or contribute to the conceptualization of new initiatives or programs in order to either strengthen or create revenue streams
  • Evaluate current partner activation plan and provide recommendations on how to better develop the partnership across a 365-day platform
  • Represent Giants Enterprises at industry tradeshows, sales missions, meetings and events
  • Refine sales tactics and approach, including materials used, lead generation opportunity, etc.
  • Prepare and lead site visits and presentation of all Giants Enterprises properties
  • Positively negotiate and complete contracts and ensure deliverables are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Proven track record of sales success with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • Integrity, intelligence, and energy
  • Superior communication skills (written & verbal) with exceptional presentation skills
  • Self-starter with genuine ability to work autonomously as well as being a team player
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Display a focus towards building and managing a sales pipeline with proven ability to close new business
  • Ability to cultivate lasting relationships with clients to grow brand loyalty
  • Results and revenue focused with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to think quickly, creatively and strategically

$90,000 - $100,000 a year

At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $90,000 to $100,000 total compensation plus Incentives awards, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and other factors the San Francisco Giants consider relevant to the hiring decision.
