The Interdepartmental Program in the Study of Religion at the University of California, Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach one course Religion, Society, and Civic Engagement during the Spring 2019 academic quarter.
This course is a service learning course that integrates community partnerships and concentrates on the variable topics related to religion and civic engagement.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of religion and civic engagement, with particular emphasis on justice and coexistence in pluralistic societies.
The candidate must have an established presence in the Los Angeles community to facilitate and coordinate the service learning component of this course.
Applicants should also have a demonstrable excellence in teaching, and must have their PhD in Religious Studies or related fields.
