Summary Responsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, performance and engineering calculations, and authoring on-time reports.
Responsibilities Perform a variety of functions under direction of Senior Professional Engineer Prepare engineering studies and reports Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed (soils, concrete, masonry, steel) Perform test boring / test pit observations, laboratory analysis, and preparation of geotechnical calculations and reports Project coordination and project management of Special Inspection and Construction Materials Testing work Implement Quality Assurance, and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or related Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients Strong organizational skills Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license Compensation :
