As we continue to scale our technical organization, Switcher is seeking a Quality Analyst to prepare test plans and conduct manual testing to ensure product quality.
Reporting to our Senior Quality Analyst, the Analyst is responsible for accessing quality needs, test execution and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure defects are understood and validate fixes.
The individual will be U.S. residing and work in the Eastern time zone.
In this role, you will review upcoming functionality and determine necessary testing coverage as well as calling out edge cases and potential risks ahead of time.
You’ll be expected to demonstrate flexibility, creativity, effective communication skills, and a drive to see only high quality functionality reach production.
As a Quality Analyst, you’ll be expected to :
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, working collaboratively within the quality assurance function.
- Represent our broad user base when determining valuable test coverage
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within team sprints
- Identify, record, thoroughly document and track bugs
- Support senior analysts and developers in reproducing issues and understanding defect reports.
- Maintain testing records and metrics
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, techniques and industry trends

Experiences You Bring to the Table :
- 2-3 years experience in product testing or software quality assurance
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process is a plus
