POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Department and collaborates with other members of the health care team.
She / he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all department staff members. She / he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- BSN preferred
- BLS / CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- ACLS certification (American Heart or equivalent)
- Certifications specific to areas of expertise preferred.
Minimum Experience
2-3 years RN experience in clinical area

Tenet complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotes optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines.
Responsible for department / s on a 24-hour basis.
Education :
Required : Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred : Bachelor's or master's degree.
Experience :
Required : 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full-time charge nurse / related position.
Certifications :
Required : Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. AHA BLS.
